He is an IIT engineer, and IAS (1985-2002). He was working at the top level with government as well as private sector corporates.

He served at senior administrative positions in the State of Gujarat for 17 years in various fields including Tourism & Infrastructure.

He was responsible for catalyzing private sector investment (including multiplex cinemas) in tourism sector in Gujarat through policy initiatives and aggressive investment-promotion campaigns. He was the Managing Director of Tourism Corporation of Gujarat from 1995 to 1997. He was secretary to the Chief Minister of Gujarat during 1993-94 and again during 1995-97.He worked with M/s. Adani Group as the Chief Executive Officer (Infrastructure). At present he is heading Neesa group of companies.
